Our logo is an adaptation of the cross of Saint Thomas — a disciple well-known for being a doubter and skeptic who was transformed by the resurrected Jesus. We want to be a place where doubters and skeptics in Madison can safely explore the story of Jesus. The dove atop the cross symbolizes the Holy Spirit, who raised Jesus from the dead.
Pastors Matt Grimsley and Danny Hindman move to Madison. Matt plants Resurrection Presbyterian Church ("Res Pres") and Danny starts Reformed University Fellowship (RUF) on the campus of UW-Madison.
Res Pres holds its first public worship service at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church on Regent Street.
During the midst of the COVID pandemic, Res Pres calls its first elders and particularizes (becomes self-governing) as its own church.
Pastor Cam Brown succeeds Danny Hindman as the RUF campus minister at UW-Madison.
Following God's call to plant a new church, Matt Grimsley departs and Jon Storck begins an interim pastorate.
Res Pres calls its second pastor, Matt Lietzen, to continue the work of shepherding the church and catalyzing the congregation to be a church for urban and university Madison.
