We're just glad you're here. We'd actually love to flip the script — instead of asking something from you, we want to give something to you. Whether that's a conversation over coffee, a warm meal, or just someone to talk to about life in Madison, we're here for it.
Our giving is something our church family does together to support the mission we share. If you're still figuring out whether this is your community, take your time. We're not going anywhere.

A community that is finding life in the gospel will be a generous community. There is nothing that God held back in giving us Jesus, and there is nothing that Jesus held back in giving up his life for our sake. Therefore, as followers of Jesus, we are free to live generous lives.
"For you know the generous act of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that by his poverty you might become rich." — 2 Corinthians 8:9

Why We Give
Everything we have is a gift. We give because God first gave to us — his grace, his love, and his Son. Our giving is a joyful response to that generosity.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son..." — John 3:16
Our giving supports the life of this community — gathering on Sundays, caring for one another, raising up the next generation, and equipping people to live as followers of Jesus.
"They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers." — Acts 2:42
A portion of every gift goes toward serving our neighbors in Madison and supporting mission partners around the world. When we give, our impact extends far beyond these walls.
"Seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you... and pray to the Lord on its behalf." — Jeremiah 29:7
At Res Pres, we invite everyone to prayerfully consider a holistic approach to generosity that includes being generous through acts of service, relationships, hospitality, the privileges and power we hold, and our money.
